Deputy Lieutenant Natalie Reeves Billing DL FRSA to Officially Open the Global Women Leadership Summit 2025
Liverpool, United Kingdom — 16-10-2025 — The organisers of the Global Women Leadership Summit 2025 are honoured to announce that Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside, Mrs Natalie Reeves Billing DL FRSA, will officially open this year’s prestigious event, bringing her trademark creativity, compassion, and community spirit to one of the most diverse and influential gatherings of women leaders in the UK.
Taking place from 23–25 October 2025 at the state-of-the-art University of Liverpool and Liverpool Hope University, the Summit will unite visionary women leaders, entrepreneurs, pioneers, and change-makers from across the globe under the empowering theme:
“Leading with Purpose: Creating a Lasting Legacy.”
An award-winning author, literacy innovator, and creative community leader, Mrs Reeves Billing’s involvement perfectly reflects the Summit’s central message — that transformational and purpose-driven leadership is at its most powerful when grounded in authenticity, service, and vision.
In her ceremonial role as Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside, Mrs Reeves Billing supports the Lord-Lieutenant in representing His Majesty The King and celebrating the achievements, values, and diversity of communities across the region. The insignia she wears carries centuries of history — from the Tudor Rose, symbolising loyalty and service, to the shared ideals of duty, inclusion, and compassion that define the modern Lieutenancy.
Born in Toxteth and now based on the Wirral, Mrs Reeves Billing has built a career defined by creativity and transformation. From her early years as a performer and songwriter to her celebrated work as a storyteller and literacy advocate, she has consistently used art and language to connect people, inspire confidence, and ignite social change. Her writing — known for its blend of dark humour, empathy, and lyrical insight — spans children’s literature, contemporary fiction, and poetry.
As founder of Builder Book, a pioneering social enterprise dedicated to helping families and communities tell their own stories, Mrs Reeves Billing has redefined literacy engagement. Through her Bubs Literacy Project, supported by the Lloyds Bank Social Entrepreneurs Programme, she continues to champion creative access to education, placing books, storytelling resources, and learning opportunities directly into the hands of those who need them most.
In line with official protocol, Mrs Reeves Billing will preside over the opening ceremony of the Global Women Leadership Summit 2025, representing the Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside, and will do so alongside The Right Worshipful, The Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Barbara Murray. Her presence signifies the unity of civic and royal representation in celebrating women’s leadership, innovation, and global impact.

Speaking ahead of the event, Mrs Reeves Billing commented:
“It is an honour to open a summit that champions women of courage, creativity, and conviction. Purposeful leadership begins in our communities — in the way we nurture others, share stories, and use our gifts to make lasting change. I am proud to stand among such remarkable women who are shaping the future with heart and vision.”
Hosted by Dr Sylvia Forchap-Likambi, founder of Global Visionary Women and Summit host, the event will feature keynote speeches, plenary sessions, workshops, and masterclasses exploring purpose-driven leadership, sustainability, and legacy-building. The summit will conclude with a Drinks Reception and Awards Dinner on 25 October, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of women leaders from across the globe.
